Call for Poster Presentation and Competition
The Second Annual Workshop on Imaging and Data Science brings together the investigators in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and builds strong collaborations between UT Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). The workshop brings engineers, imaging and computer scientists, radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, oncologists, and other clinicians together and translates innovative imaging technology and data science methods from our engineering and computer science laboratories at UT Dallas to clinical settings at UT Southwestern with the goal of improving human health.
The Workshop will include poster presentations and competition that will take place on Friday, October 27, 2023. We encourage undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers to present posters highlighting their research projects. All submissions will be given the opportunity to present their posters to national leaders in the field of bioengineering, computer science, the UTD/UTSW community, and the public at large.
We will have three competition categories for poster awards: 1) Undergraduate Students, 2) Graduate Students, and 3) Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Associates. The winners will be recognized with award certificates and cash prizes at the Workshop.
If you wish to participate poster presentations and competition, please submit an abstract (title, authors, affiliations, 200-word abstract, and the competition category) in a PDF file to Prof. Baowei Fei (bfei@utdallas.edu) by Friday, September 29, 2023. If accepted, more information on poster presentations and competition processing will be sent to the presenting authors.
All posters should be set up on Friday, October 27, 2023, between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM at the Axxess Atrium on the first floor of the Electrical and Computer Science West Building (ECSW) that is just next to the ECSS Building where the talks of the workshop will be held. Please see the workshop map for the location. The poster presentation session will be from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
Look forward to learning more about your exciting research and recognizing your work!
